HEADSHOTBG finished in 3rd place at Adepto BH Open 2011 and secured a €1,500 in front of BGDonLINE after a three-map match.
In addition to a 3rd place battle and 1,500 euros at stake, the match between HEADSHOTBG and BGDonLINE was also a "battle of the Balkans". A close match was expected and the teams didn't disappoint.
The first map was de_dust2, on which BGDonLINE started as Terrorists. However, the Bulgarians started off with a 2:0 lead on the harder side, after which BGDonLINE retalieted and led the way for the rest of the half. Before changing sides, the result was 11:4 in favor of the Serbs. The lead increased after the second half pistol and BGDonLINE seemed to be on the right path, but HEADSHOTBG didn't lose hope. They fought back and brought the score to 15:11, although they couldn't do anything more as BGDonLINE clinched their last needed round.
In the second map de_inferno, HEADSHOTBG started as CT and after an initial close battle, they went ahead 9-3 after some great defending. BGDonLINE then finally stopped the run of the Bulgarians and won two rounds in a row, second of which was after a 2vs5 situation. The half ended at 10:5 and the second half was somewhat closer, as BGDonLINE started mounting a comeback, but the Bulgarians won some key rounds and took the map 16:12.
The third map was de_nuke on which BGDonLINE started on the more favored CT side. Despite that, the Bulgarians performed much better and took a 10:0 lead on the harder side. The half ended 12:3 and the pistol round finished in favor of the Bulgarians. They closed the match quickly with a 16:3 scoreline and secured a €1,500 cheque after the closest match of the tournament so far.
